Crap In A Shiny New Box Is Still Crap (this one
isn't even shiny).
From a recent ebay auction.
This particular auction sold the website you see to the left
for $61. The buyer may as well have took his $61 and set on
fire! Not to mention his time or the hosting bill he may pay if
he doesn't have hosting.
If you have been around ebay much you will recognize this.
It is the ebay category from the 155 adsnese websites in a box
package that sells for .99 to $4.99 all day long on ebay. The
only thing it has is a new header.
One enterprising marketer took the 155 sites (the
pages are scraped articles form ezinearticles.com etc) had
a nice mini-site made complete with a good looking "virtual
software box" and sold the heck out of them to people who also
resold them. There are literally thousands of these sites and
pages all over the net - of course the bulk are not indexed as
you could imagine.
The only value you could get from that package is having a
categorized article directory setting on your drive to pull an
article from as site content if you needed a little.
Here is a quote from the seller...
" Lets be honest, would you want to configure 105+ web
pages?
NO - so we do that for you (Free of Charge).
This site would Cost HUNDREDS to buy on the Open Market.
Don't Loose Out - Bid NOW!! "
Ok we will be honest. The site is worthless and the
auction implies that you would have to configure each page one
at a time lol. It's a one click function using free search and
replace software just like we have in our members
area.
So what my point?
When you purchase something think about what you
are going to do with it. If it is a resell rights product have
a plan to get it up for sell within a day or two of making the
purchase. Otherwise it may just end up setting on your pc for
who knows how long. You will probably forget about it, you may
even purchase it again.
The other thing is this. If you do purchase plr - resell
rights products to sell get them to market quickly and try to
change the presentation a little. Same with promoting an
affiliate product. Don't use the vendors standard email/blog
post/newsletter/review piece. Put you own unique touch to it.
It will pay off. In one day I may get 7 offers for an affiliate
product that are identical from 7 different affiliates. Then I
may get one thats different, maybe offers a bonus or gives me
the straight scoop on the product and still recommends it.
Which affiliate would you buy from?
Have a great week!
